A local amateur dramatics group
based in the villages of Harrold, Carlton and Odell. Formed in 1992,
AdHoc has presented one or two plays each year since then and has
built a loyal local audience. Also involved with organising and
supporting less formal and more inclusive events, such as Poems
and Pints Evenings and Murder Mystery evenings, as well as an active
social calendar with theatre visits, playreadings and an annual
barbecue.
Started in Harrold and Odell in 1990, this charity
provides a sponsorship scheme for poor and disadvantaged families
in Buzau, Romania. Also provides wheelchairs and other aids for physically
handicapped children.
Ages eleven to eighty plus. Practice night: Friday
7.30-9pm alternately at St Mary's and St Peter's.
Sunday ringing: 9.0 -9.30am St Peter's, Harrold and 10.30-11am St
Mary's, Carlton.
A social club for adults with learning disabilities.
Fridays 3.30 pm - 4.30 pm at Harrold Centre for crafts, music etc.
Tuesdays 7.00 pm at Lincroft Middle School for sports and discos.
A warm welcome for new members or helpers.
We are a group of local women, aged 18 - 100,
who meet fortnightly during term time in each others' homes to discuss
topical issues of both a serious and light-hearted nature.

The Carlton Garden & Allotment Society administers
the ‘Moor Allotments’ (plots are usually available) and also runs
the Village Show held annually in August in the Village Hall.
The Association maintains and fosters links
between Harrold and St. Pazanne (near Nantes) at both communal and
personal levels. It encourages understanding of French culture through
fundraising activities and biennial official visits when we stay
with French families. Our friends in St. Pazanne visit us in alternate
years
HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Meetings held monthly for talks by knowledgeable
people in local history; normally Thursday evenings in Carlton Village
Hall. Also organises visits to major historical sites, museums, historic
houses and gardens, even abroad. Holds annual Cheese & Wine evening
with historical theme.
For all adults, but mainly senior citizens and
retired. Operated by mailing list and communication in The Bridge.
Leisure activities include days out, theatre trips and holidays as
a Group. An asset to people living alone or having no transport.
Do you enjoy singing? Can you sing in four
part choir ? Would you like to join our small choir based in Harrold?
Currently we meet weekly between October and Christmas, culminating
in a concert of Christmas Delights.
